The year started off with the Main Street Theater production, which set the story not in a far-off land but in World War II, with the characters starting off the show listening to a radio broadcast of the bombing of Trafalgar Square. And the ’40s influence didn’t stop there: When the Witch (Christina Stroup) de-ages, she emerges wearing a little black sheath dress. Andrew Ruthven directed the production.
