For her version of “Into the Woods” (originally staged at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, director Amanda Dehnert had her cast begin the show in street clothes reading from music stands. The mixture of old and new is highlighted throughout the production, with the Princes riding around on bikes and the golden egg-laying hen selling Android tablets. How’s that for a priceless potion ingredient? The production is currently playing at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills through Dec. 21.
