Every other week, the editors of American Theatre curate a free-ranging discussion about the lively arts.

On this edition of Offscript, we gather a national roundtable of critics who’ve seen one of the nation’s most-produced plays (as we’ve done a few times before). This time around it’s David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People, specifically in productions at Florida’s GableStage, Arizona’s now-defunct Actors Theatre of Phoenix and (still running as of this posting) Indiana Repertory Theatre.

AT‘s editors Suzy, Diep and Rob also talk about the magazine’s February issue, Sean Graney’s return to the Hypocrites, a diversity push from East West Players and some recent shows they loved (respectively, I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard, Hamilton and A 24-Decade History of Popular Music).
