TAMPA, FLA.: Jobsite Theater, the independent resident theatre company at Tampa’s Straz Center, has announced its 2015–16 season, which will feature a five-show mix of musicals and plays.

First up is Almost an Evening (Sept. 9–Oct. 4) by Ethan Coen (yes, that Ethan Coen). The show consists of three short plays—Waiting, Four Benches and Debate—on the subject deal with the idea of hell, whether here on earth or in the afterlife. The triptych debuted at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York in 2008.

Next is the musical version of horror movie Silence! The Musical, the Unauthorized Parody of Silence of the Lambs (Oct. 14–Nov. 22), also an Off-Broadway hit, with songs by Jon and Al Kaplan.

Lebensraum (Jan. 6–31, 2016) by Israel Horovitz follows. The provocative drama imagines a German chancellor who, to atone for his nation’s past, invites 6 million Jews to Germany to replace those slaughtered in the Holocaust.

Christopher Durang’s popular comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Feb. 24–March 20, 2016) is next, telling the tale of middle-aged siblings and others in Bucks County, Penn.

Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra (April 27–May 22, 2016) will take audiences back to the reign of the Roman Empire.

Wrapping up the season is Donald Margulies’s Time Stands Still (July 6–31, 2016), about a war photographer trying to piece her life, and body, back together.
