NEW HAVEN, CONN.: Long Wharf Theatre has announced four of the six shows in its 2015–16 season, its 51st. The season will include a world premiere by Samuel D. Hunter.

The season will begin with Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer-winning Disgraced (Oct. 14–Nov. 8), about contentious dinner party thrown by a Pakistani-American lawyer and his Caucasian wife. Artistic director Gordon Edelstein will direct.

Following will be Benjamin Scheuer’s autobiographical The Lion, a one-man musical father/son tale, playing in New Haven as part of its national tour (Jan. 6–Feb. 7, 2016). Sean Daniels will direct.

Next will be Having Our Say by Emily Mann (Feb. 17–March 18, 2016). The play, adapted by the book by Sarah L. Delany and A. Hunter’s newest play Lewiston will have its world premiere next, directed by Long Wharf associate artistic director Eric Ting (April 6–May 1, 2016). The play follows two friends, Alice and Connor, whose world is shaken up when Marnie, Alice’s long lost granddaughter, comes to town.

Two other productions will be announced at a later date.
