AstonRep Announces 2015–16 Season

The slate includes Chicago premieres by Nicky Silver and Deborah Brevoort.

CHICAGO: AstonRep Theatre Company has announced its 2015–16 season, featuring two world premieres and an evening of one-act premieres.

The season begins with the Chicago premiere of Nicky Silver’s The Lyons (Aug. 30–Sept. 27), a family drama about a matriarch who can’t seem to wrangle her family or figure out how to redesign her living room. Company member Derek Bertelsen will direct.

Next will be the Chicago premiere of Deborah Brevoort’s The Women of Lockerbie (April 10–May 8, 2016), inspired by events following the infamous 1988 crash of Pan Am Flight 103.

The season also includes AstonActs, a collection of premiere theatrical stagings adapted from contemporary short stories featuring Chicago-based actors and directors.
