The Actors Company Theatre Announces 2015–16 Season

The two-play season will feature Israeli playwright Motti Lerner and a little-seen play by George Bernard Shaw.

NEW YORK CITY: The Actors Company Theatre (TACT), dedicated to reimagining classics, has announced its two-play 2015—16 season.

The season begins with Hard Love (Sept. 29—Oct. 31) from Israeli playwright Motti Lerner, about a divorced couple in Jerusalem. When the teenage children of their second marriages become romantically involved, the estranged couple are forced back into each other’s lives. Artistic and executive director Scott Alan Evans will direct.

Following will be George Bernard Shaw’s Widowers’ Houses (March 1—April 2, 2016), about a young doctor who falls in love with a wealthy landowner’s daughter, and discovers the unsavory source of the family’s fortune. The play is a coproduction with Gingold Theatrical Group, and Gingold artistic director David Staller will direct.
