Bedlam Announces World Premiere and Reprise Production

The roster includes a world premiere and the anticipated return of ‘Sense & Sensibility.’

NEW YORK CITY: Bedlam has announced its 2015–16 season, including a world premiere and the return of the company’s acclaimed adaptation of Jane Austen.

First will be the world premiere of Steven Sater’s New York Animals (Nov. 14–Dec. 20), a tapestry of the hysterical and tragic stories of 21 New Yorkers on a rainy day in Manhattan, featuring music by Burt Bacharach. Artistic director Eric Tucker will direct.

Next is the return of Sense & Sensibility (Feb. 14–April 10, 2016), adapted by Kate Hamill from Jane Austen, about the penniless Dashwood sisters as they pursue love and life after the untimely death of their father. Producing director Andrus Nichols stars, and Tucker will direct.
