Stark Naked Theatre Company Announces 2015–16 Season

The roster includes Bess Wohl, Edward Albee, and George Bernard Shaw.

HOUSTON: Stark Naked Theatre Company has announced its 2015–16 season, including two regional premieres, a holiday show, and an iconic drama.

The season begins with the Texas premiere of Bess Wohl’s Small Mouth Sounds (Sept. 11—26), about the interactions of six strangers who meet at a silent yoga retreat. The cast features Pamela Vogel, Kim Tobin-Lehl, Tom Prior, Nick Farco, Jeff Miller, and Amy Garner-Buchanan. Kim Tobin-Lehl will direct.

Next will be the return of the Stark Naked’s holiday favorite Ho Ho Humbug 2.0 (Dec. 3—23), by Scott Burkell, about a disillusioned middle-aged New Yorker who finds himself in a red velvet costume among the elves at Macy’s Santaland. The cast includes Burkell, Philip Lehl, and Susan Draper. Philip Lehl will direct.

Following is Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (March 4—26, 2016). Philip Lehl, Kim Tobin-Lehl, Matt Hune, and Auden Thornton will star. Jennifer Dean will direct.

The season will conclude with the Texas premiere of George Bernard Shaw’s Saint Joan (June 3—18, 2016), in association with and performed by New York’s Bedlam Theatre. Eric Tucker will direct.
