Lincoln Center Theater Slates 2015–16 Season

The lineup includes new plays and a revival of a classic.

NEW YORK CITY: Lincoln Center Theater has announced the full roster of shows for its 2015–16 season for the Mitzi E. Newhouse mainstage and Claire Tow Theater.

The season begins with Peter Parnell’s Dada Woof Papa Hot (Oct. 15–Jan. 3, 2016), about two gay couples raising their kids in New York City. Scott Ellis will direct.

Next will be Kill Floor by Abe Koogler (Oct. 15–Nov. 15), part of the LCT3 program, about a woman who returns home after five years in prison and , much to her son’s disproval, takes a job at the local slaughterhouse. Marin Ireland will star and Lila Neugebauer will direct.

Following will be a coproduction of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge (Oct. 21–Feb. 21, 2016), a revival from the Young Vic.  Mark Strong, Nicola Walker, Phoebe Fox, Russell Tovey, Michael Gould, and Richard Hansell will star, and Ivo van Hove will direct.

Next will be the LCT3 premiere of Greg Pierce’s Her Requiem (Feb. 6—March 20, 2016), about a girl who takes her senior year of high school off to compose a requiem. Kate Whoriskey will direct.

Follwoing that is The Royale by Marco Ramirez (previews begin Feb. 11, 2016), inspired by the life of African-American heavyweight world champion Jack Johnson. Rachel Chavkin will direct.

The season concludes with the New York premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s War (May 21—July 3, 2016), about two siblings ambushed by strangers in their mother’s hospital room who learn a shocking claim about their grandfather’s service in World War II. Lileana Blain-Cruz will direct.
