“While my 14-plus years associated with Boston Court have been the most rewarding of my lifetime, it is time for me to transition to another phase in my career,” Seel wrote in a letter to the board. “Thank you all for the tremendous support and great opportunities Boston Court has given me.”

Seel has been with Boston Court since its inception in 2002, when he joined as general manager. He became managing director in 2003, served as producing director in 2005, and was promoted to executive director in 2008.

“Michael has been instrumental in establishing Boston Court Performing Arts Center as an artistically distinguished, nationally recognized organization,” said board chair Robbin Kelley in a statement. “His remarkable dedication has helped put us in a very strong position, given our brief history. We have a talented and ambitious staff that will ensure a seamless transition and help us continue to grow and prosper.”
