PHILADELPHIA: Arden Theatre Company has announced four additional productions to round out its previously announced 2017-18 season.

The season will kick off with Cabaret (Sept. 21-Oct. 22), with book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The musical follows an American writer looking for inspiration in Berlin during the onset of the Nazis’ rise to power. Matthew Decker will direct.

Another addition will be Peter Pan (Nov. 22-Jan. 21, 2018), adapted by Douglas Irvine from J.M. Barrie, a retelling of the classic tale about a young boy and his adventure to the magical island of Neverland. Whit MacLaughlin will direct.

Also joining the lineup will be the world premiere of a new adaptation of Snow White (April 4-June 3, 2018), written and directed by Greg Banks as a two-person play bringing the world of a princess, seven dwarfs, an evil queen, and a huntsman to life.

The season closer will be Fun Home (May 17-June 17, 2018), with a book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, and music by Jeanine Tesori, about Alison Bechdel’s upbringing as she struggled to relate to her closeted father while coming to terms with her own sexuality. Terrence J. Nolen will direct.
