The season will be the last under the direction of outgoing artistic director Tom Key.
Selected writers and writing teams will develop 20 projects this summer.
The organization will partner with La Jolla Playhouse and Goodman Theatre to develop and produce two new plays by Gregg Mozgala and Christopher Shinn.
Next season also includes world premieres by Jaclyn Backhaus and Jeremy O. Harris.
Playwrights Anchuli Felicia King and Emma Whipday’s works, inspired by ‘Othello’ and ‘Cymbeline,’ respectively, will be produced.
Also on the slate are ‘Fences,’ ‘Parade,’ and ‘Freckleface Strawberry.’
Finalists were ‘Dance Nation’ by Clare Barron and ‘What the Constitution Means to Me’ by Heidi Schreck.
The theatre will split its programming between its current venue and new home.
