The company will welcome Artists Repertory Theatre’s ArtsHub in residency for the 2021-22 season.
The season will feature the world premiere of the musical ‘Ruby,’ based on a story by and about Zora Neale Hurston.
The theater will reopen its lobby and outdoor spaces ahead of a limited-run production in October.
The company will return to in-person performances in September.
The season will mark the return of in-person performances with three world premiere plays and one world premiere musical.
The program will partner 35 emerging theatre artists with theatre leaders, all of whom are women or nonbinary people of color.
The commission, named after the grandparents of artist Jeremy O. Harris, awards $50,000 to each recipient.
The company will produce seven in-person productions through the end of the year, with streaming options still available.
