This season includes seven shows under the theme ‘Our Stories.’
The Cleveland theatre’s season features six local premieres.
On this episode, it’s ‘Angels in America” ($200+) vs ‘Yerma’ (40+). Plus, ‘The Great Comet’s’ Grace McLean drops by to discuss music-making and angry women.
This season will include classic plays from Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, and Tom Stoppard.
Also on the slate are two comedies by Lynn Nottage and revivals of work by former resident playwrights Athol Fugard, Will Eno, and Sam Shepard.
The Philadelphia theatre will produce new plays by Josh Wilder and Gabriel Jason Dean.
The playwright will be celebrated at a ceremony later this month.
The prize recognizes her play ‘Book of Will’ and comes with $25,000.
Andrewartha is the inaugural recipient of the award for her play ‘Choices People Make.’
