Jacobs-Jenkins will adapt ‘The Bacchae,’ and Will Eno will premiere a new play about land ownership during the theatre’s 2019-20 season.
The world premieres include works by Lucas Hnath and Korde Arrington Tuttle, and a new ‘Outsiders’ musical by Adam Rapp and the band Jamestown Revival.
The lineup will feature a new sketch show with music by Tony Braithwaite and Jennifer Childs.
This year’s inspiring World Theatre Day Messages were authored by Carlos Celdrán and Indigenous Direction.
The ‘Hear Her Call’ festival will feature plays by Caribbean American women.
The theatre will present six show running in repertory under the California oaks.
Cohn will work closely with artistic director Anne Hamburger in leading the company.
TCG will team up with the NEA and TYA/USA to present a one-day convening about Theatre for Young Audiences.
The lineup will include the world premiere of ‘Dhaba on Devon Avenue’ by Madhuri Shekar.
The season will be presented at the newly renovated Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center.
