Williamstown Theatre Festival Begins Recruitment for 2016

WTF offers on-the-job theatre training for performers, writers, designers, technicians, and administrators.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.: Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) is now accepting applications for seasonal staff and intern positions, the fellowship program, the apprentice program, and the non-Equity acting company for the 2016 summer season.

The fellowship program, which consists of the Boris Sagal Directing Fellowship/Drama League Residency and the Bill Foeller Directing Fellowship, offers two up-and-coming directors an opportunity to direct new work at the festival.

The internship program aims to bridge the gap between collegiate and professional theatre by offering interns of all disciplines the opportunity to work on the artistic, administrative, and technical aspects of the festival.

The apprentice program offers young professionals the experience of working with resident artists throughout the summer with master classes and the opportunity to audition for festival productions.

The non-Equity company is comprised of actors from top-tier graduate programs and actors from a submission and audition process in New York City.

Application deadlines for the programs are between Jan. 4 and March 1. Both merit and need-based scholarships are available to applicants, and college credit is also available. For more information and applications, please visit the festival’s website.
