Prime Stage Theatre Announces 2018-19 Season

The Pittsburgh company will present a season of three literary adaptations about courage.

PITTSBURGH: Prime Stage Theatre has announced its 2018-19 season, titled “Humanity in the Face of Adversity.”

The season will start with John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men (Nov. 2-11), about two displaced migrant ranch workers in California who dream of a place to call their own. Scott P. Calhoon will direct.

Next up will be In the Time of Butterflies (March 8-17, 2019), by Caridad Svich. Based on the novel by Julia Alvarez, the play follows sisters fighting for freedom in the Dominican Republic. Ricardo Vila-Roger will direct.

Following will be Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (May 3-15, 2019). Andy Kirtland will direct the production, which will be set in Portugal.
