BOISE, IDAHO: Boise Contemporary Theater (BCT) has announced that Benjamin Burdick will be the company’s producing artistic director. Burdick, who served as managing director for the 2018-19 season, will succeed Matthew Cameron Clark.
“We are blessed to have the talents of Ben as part of the BCT family,” said Will Fowler, the board of trustees president, in a statement. “Not only can he run the operations side of the theatre, but he’s a talented artist, director, and producer. We have an exciting season and are looking forward to Ben’s leadership.”
Burdick, an Idaho native, is an award-winning actor who began his career in the arts working primarily in Los Angeles. Burdick previously served as the associate artistic director of L.A.’s Open Fist Theatre Company. He is a graduate of Yale.
“We are thankful for Matthew’s dedication to creating and growing BCT into the vibrant Boise arts organization it is today and wish him well in his new artistic endeavors,” said Fowler in a statement.
