The theatre’s 49th season includes six works never before produced in Utah, two of which being world premieres.
The honors, for excellence in theatre for young audiences, will go to Stan Foote, Rosemary Newcott, Chicago Children’s Theatre, and Courtney J. Boddie.
The theatre’s Art On Tour lineup includes tense dramas and musical productions produced at six Portland theatres.
The lineup includes the world premiere of ‘Almost Famous,’ five West Coast premieres, and a holiday favorite.
The lineup includes work by Suzan-Lori Parks, Maria-Irene Fornes, Clare Barron, and Will Eno, as well as a new musical from Tamarie Cooper.
On the slate are new works from Harrison David Rivers and Beth Henley.
Hewett will start the position at the New York City organization in May.
Ian Damont Martin and Angela Salinas are the company’s new artistic director and managing director, respectively.
The lineup marks the first full season programmed by producing artistic director Shane Peterman.
