Bristol Riverside Theatre Names Anne S. Kohn Managing Director

Kohn will join the company for the start of its 30th season.

BRISTOL, PENN.: Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) has announced that Anne S. Kohn will join the theatre as its new managing director. Kohn, who comes to the theatre from Shakespeare Theatre Company, has been hired following a national search. She will take over on Sept. 6 for interim managing director Amy Kaissar, who has been serving in the role since Jamie Gilpatrick left the position.

“Anne was the unanimous choice of our search committee after an extensive national search,” BRT board chair Joe Sanginiti said in a statement. “As a respected and seasoned professional, she brings with her a love of theatre and a vast amount of experience that will help us maximize the potential of our expanded presence in Bucks County.”

“I am honored to join BRT at this exciting time in its history and to partner with the board of trustees, Susan, Keith, and the staff to build upon the strengths of the organization,” said Kohn in a statement. “I look forward to working with such a passionate and committed team and to immersing myself in the dynamic and rich Philadelphia cultural community for many years to come.”
