Broken Nose Theatre Wins 4 Non-Equity Jeff Awards

Non-Equity theatre in Chicago was celebrated on Monday night.

CHICAGO: The 44th annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards were held Monday night at the Athenaeum Theatre. The awards celebrate non-union Chicago theatre. The biggest winner of the night was At the Table, created by Broken Nose Theatre, which received four awards.

The emcees for the evening were Alexis J. Roston and Lillian Castillo. Brenda Didier directed, and Jimmy Morehead provided musical direction. John D. Glover, the non-Equity wing chair of the Jeff Awards, produced the event.

The Jeff Awards were established in 1968. Every year, the awards evaluate more than 250 theatrical productions for two ceremonies: the Equity and Non-Equity Jeff Awards. The Equity Jeff Awards, for union productions, will be held on Nov. 6.
