PHILADELPHIA: Quintessennce Theatre Group has appointed David Lloyd Olson as the company’s managing director, effective since Aug. 5.
Olson previously served as manager of the executive office and board engagement at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, and is the founder of the Washington, D.C.-based experimental company Pointless Theatre Co. Olson was an Allen Lee Hughes management fellow at Arena Stage, as well as a Fulbright English teaching assistant in Valmiera, Latvia. He has twice been the recipient of a D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities Fellowship Program, and served on the host committee for the 2016 Theatre Communications Group National Conference.
