D.C.’s Studio Theatre Cancels Remainder of Season

Performances of company’s remaining 3 productions have been suspended.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Studio Theatre has announced that the remainder of its 2019-20 season is canceled because of the local and federal government response to COVID-19. Performances of Fun Home and Aspen Ideas will be suspended, following the already announced closure of Pass Over.

“This is disappointing for all of us, but we believe it is the best decision to protect the health and safety of our audiences, artists, and staff,” said artistic director David Muse and managing director Rebecca Ende Lichtenberg in a joint statement. “At Studio, we’re staying optimistic by focusing on the future. The good news is we’re coming back with performances that will make you excited to return to the theatre.”

The company asks theatre patrons and ticket holders to consider donate the ticket value of cancelled productions back to Studio to help support the staff.
