Theater Latté Da MD Michelle Woster to Step Down

Woster will leave her role at the end of the month, with Jean Hartmann stepping as interim managing director.

MINNEAPOLIS: Theater Latté Da (TLD) has announced that Michelle Woster, TLD’s managing director, will step down at the end of the month to pursue other opportunities. As the theatre’s board searches for a new leader, Jean Hartmann will serve as interim managing director. Hartmann is set to begin working today, July 19, to allow for a smooth transition.

“As the former senior director of finance and operations of Theater Latté Da, Jean brings experience and a familiarity of the organization to her role as our interim leader,” said board chair Kevin Winge in a statement.

Woster leaves her post after three and a half years, having led the organization since 2018 and overseen grown in the theatre’s donor and subscriber base. Woster worked alongside artistic director Peter Rothstein, who, in a statement, said that Woster’s leadership “helped the organization continue to stay on mission during the pandemic, funding new works and virtual performances, and still emerging in a position of financial and organizational strength.”
