She earned her BFA from Howard University.

The Roundabout Directing Fellowship was launched in 2017 to provide development opportunities, resources, and career assistance to emerging directors, especially those who have historically been denied equitable opportunities in the theatre industry. Previous fellows include current Roundabout resident director Miranda Haymon and Roundabout associate artist Whitney White.

The cohort includes Emily Abrams, Zahra Budhwani, Moses Garcia, Tramane Harris, Saki Kawamura, Sanhawich Meateanuwat, amani meliyah, Aileen Wen McGroddy, Isabel Perry, and Lucky Stiff. The Directors Group will be led by former directing fellow Mack Brown.

The Directors Group was launched in 2019 to provide an artistic community, foster camaraderie, and provide mentorship and access to an expanded professional network for directors. The cohort meets with artists monthly for workshops on topics like directing for television and film, leadership during a pandemic, finding representation, understanding the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and more. It is supported by the Leon Levy Foundation, which was founded in 2004 by Levy’s widow, Shelby White.
