In honor of its 50th Anniversary, the West L.A. company will present works by Fornés, Orton, and others that premiered around the time the troupe was established.
The lineup will feature a remount of the company’s physical adaptation of ‘The Tempest’ with a water-filled set.
Six emerging directors and playwrights will participate in a yearlong residency with the company.
The 2019-20 lineup will feature a world premiere adaptation of a poem, and works by Clare Barron, Aleshea Harris, and more.
The theatre company plans to a new theatre in Evanston, Ill.
The lineup includes two musicals by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
The Dramatists Guild of America has selected Schreck’s ‘What the Constitution Means to Me’ for the prize.
Jez Butterworth, Robert Horn, David Yazbek, and Heidi Schreck will be awarded at a private reception later this month.
Other winners include ‘Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future’ and ‘Pass Over.’
