Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop, about an imaginary encounter at the Lorraine Hotel on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, has been among the most-performed plays on American stages in the years since its Broadway debut in 2011.     Seattle’s ArtsWest did this production last year and the lead, Reginald Andre Jackson, won a Gyspy Rose Lee Award (just announced) for Excellence in Performance in a Play as a Lead Actor (Male) (Smaller Theater) for his wonderful performance. The female lead, brianne hill, also was nominated in her category.
