LOS ANGELES: Skylight Theatre Company has named Armando Huipe to be their new executive director. Previous executive director Sandee Grossman will now fill the job of managing director.

Huipe previously worked as an arts management consultant in Los Angeles and nationally, supporting companies such as Center Theatre Group, Yale Repertory Theatre, REDCAT, the L.A. Philharmonic, and the Latino Theater Co. He was a producer for the national Latinx Theatre Commons, a flagship program of HowlRound Theatre Commons. Huipe earned an MFA in theatre management from the Yale School of Drama, where he served as the managing director of Yale Cabaret and consulted on the university-wide equity, diversity, and inclusion initiative Belonging at Yale. He also earned a fellowship at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and is a founder of the Latinx Theatre Alliance/Los Angeles.
