This year’s finalists include Erika Dickerson-Despenza, Miranda Rose Hall, Jiehae Park, and Beth Steel.
This year the annual award will be given to 20 playwrights in an effort to meet the immediate needs of writers.
The 2 playwrights talk about what’s been lost to the pandemic and look to a future in which Black stories are the default, not the exception.
