He led Sundance Theatre Lab with wit, grit, and passion, often leading feedback sessions as lengthy and involved as the plays themselves.
The 2019 festival, presented by La Jolla Playhouse, will feature new interactive works from around the globe.
The organization will partner with La Jolla Playhouse and Goodman Theatre to develop and produce two new plays by Gregg Mozgala and Christopher Shinn.
The theatre will commission plays from graduates of University of California, San Diego’s playwriting program.
The California theatre will also mount new works by Ike Holter, Melissa Ross, and Lauren Yee.
The company’s general manager will step into the role next month.
